Leu Kra Tong and Thai Cooking
Yesterday ( Saturday, November 24th) the whole of Thailand celebrated Leu Kra Tong, the festival of light held on a full moon night.
I started the day with a Thai cooking class ( I hope you will enjoy may skills when I'm back!)
After the class, we had a little workshop on how to make little flower constructions for the celebration. You put a candle in the middle and make a wish and then you send your piece of art down the river, hoping that your dream will come true.... You do the same sending a sort of paper ballon with a candle floating up into the sky...Very romantic!
